Death Care
Education and Collaboration
Ongoing learning and collaboration with others in the Death Care and other relevant industries is important, so we can bring you the best and newest information available - it allows us to carry out our mission.
Our Mission: to help people write memorable eulogies and life stories, and reclaim their life after experiencing loss and other major life changes.
Wellness World Media magazine
There's a great, new wellness magazine - Wellness World Media - whose aim is: "To provide a single, trusted space where the best of all wellness traditions can come together."
I'm proud to be contributing with articles in my areas of passion and expertise.
Change is a constant, so it's important to find a way to healthily move through life's stages. We are all bound by the circle of life and can't help being emotionally affected by it at times during our life. When we experience loss, there's a need to reclaim ourselves to continue living in what is seemingly a different world. Going through the process of gaining personal insight and understanding and expressing ourselves authentically, leads to our own wellness and radiates wellness to those in our immediate circle.

Grief Seminar - 2025
Le Pine and White Lady funerals held a seminar on "What you should know about grief". Australian author and speaker Doris Zagdanski spoke about the importance of gaining an understanding of grief and practising strategies around it, that may go against some commonly-held beliefs. She also shared a variety of ways that we can show up and support a grieving friend - persevering even when it's painful or difficult for us.
Over several decades, Doris has written books and created a number of other resources on the topic of grief. They are available via her website.

Dying to Know Day - 2025
Australia's Dying to Know Day was created to open and normalise conversations about death, dying, and grief, and provide information around these topics.
At a local Dying to Know Day expo, Chetan Shastri's beautiful wall-hanging was on display. Its purpose is to open meaningful discussions around death, via text prompts and icons, to support better transitions to end of life. Made up of 40 embroidered pieces and 27 symbols, it aims to reclaim a connection to social and cultural ways that are often lost in a medical or hospital setting.
I also chatted to Iain McKinnon, an end-of-life coach and
deathwalker, who gave a really interesting talk about the
Exit International group which was founded by
Dr Philip Nitschke.

Mornington Green Legacy Gardens - 2026
If you want to be a tree when you grow up, this is the place to do it! At Mornington Green, you can buy a tree and have your ashes placed one metre below ground so you slowly become part of the tree. 💕
You can have a tree just for yourself, or if you'd like to be with family you can purchase a larger tree and include up to 12 people. It's a lovely idea to be able to farewell your loved ones in this beautiful setting, and then picnic beneath their branches whenever you want to feel closer to them.
There are dozens of tree species to choose from - most of them are Australian and flowering. I would definitely choose to be a flowering orange gum.
